Nic's Journal from Cape Town

This is bit of a playground for ideas and interests of mine — things I might share in conversation with a glass of wine over a table.

I live in Cape Town and I run an online flower business called Julep with my wonderful wife, Jules. I decided to start this newsletter for a bit of fun and to explore a few of my favourite things: Cape Town, music, wine, sports, business and stories.

Before my career pivoted into the world of start-ups and flowers, I worked as an intellectual property and social media lawyer for a firm in Johannesburg. Jules and I moved to Cape Town towards the end of 2021 (from Jo’burg) to grow our business and start a family.
